The general impression might be that most destination weddings in Hawaii take place on a beach. With many spectacular beach locations across Maui, that is partially true, but there is also not a lack of other unique venues and locations, and Sabrina and Angus’s wedding took place in one of our favorite Maui venues – Haiku Mill.

One of our favorite things about what we do is not only that we help in making someone’s wedding day an unforgettable experience, but also being able to work towards executing a creative vision in one of a kind venue like this. Steeped in history, the story of Haiku Mill spans over 150 years originating in sugar cane industry. A seamless blend of old-world Europe and the natural charm of Maui, it is the perfect playground for a magical wedding.

Sabrina and Angus are such a beautiful couple, and their intimate wedding felt right at home in this stunning venue. Haiku Mills is immersed in rich foliage, and the stunning green gardens provide a distinctive atmosphere that feels both other-worldly and fairytale-like.

Teresa Sena Designs did wonders with floral arrangements. The white and pink bouquets on each table couldn’t have felt more in line with the romantic old-world setting. As a destination wedding planning company on Maui, we always focus on rental pieces that enhance the whole wedding design. In this case, we opted for Inspiration Events Hawaii’s Montmartre chairs – a European provincial, wooden, oval-carved back chair that was part of both the wedding ceremony and the reception.

The impressive and intricate chandeliers looked remarkable over each of the dinner tables, and we still can’t believe how amazing it ended up looking in the end – both through the daytime as well as after sunset, when they lit up the whole space. Just look at the pictures by Sanaz  Photography!

We loved teaming up with this fabulous group of vendors in creating this incredible day for Sabrina and Angus!
