Why should I hire a wedding planner?
Wedding planning is a full time job with so many important details! That equates to a lot of logistics and moving parts. Don’t risk the stress and heartache potential on the most important day of your life! By hiring a professional wedding planner, you’ll be able to enjoy the planning process, stretch your spending and receive expert advice along the way. Most of our clients are busy professionals planning from afar. They entrust us to deliver the best day of their lives so they can enjoy their engagement and truly be present on the big day.
How much should I budget for a destination wedding in Maui?
We work with weddings of various sizes and budgets. What’s most important to us is delivering a custom event with details uniquely tailored to our wonderful bride and grooms. We’ve found that in order to deliver the best day possible for our clients and work with vendors we feel confident in, we recommend allocating the following per person spending:
Guest Count 24 or less: $500 pp
Guest Count 25-50: $550 pp
Guest Count 51-75: $650 pp
How will you help me stay within my budget?
We are very mindful of your spending plan and feel it’s our job as your planner to keep you on target. We will advise you to keep you in line with your desired spending, while also making your dream wedding a reality. When we make vendor recommendation, we are very purposeful with who we select to ensure you’re comfortable with the spending but still are paired with the right fit. Certain costs are inherent to almost every wedding, food and beverage for example. While we can’t negotiate their fees we can recommend menu items that are elegant and cost efficient.
How much do you charge for coordination?
We pride ourselves on taking a custom approach to every event. We personalize every wedding and therefore don’t charge a flat rate or percentage based coordination fee. We take into account the details of your day to develop a fee that makes the most sense for both of us.
Do you offer day of coordination?
No, we do not. We only offer full service coordination as this helps us maintain a level of service we’re proud of. Every wedding and every couple is different, so in order to execute everything perfectly we need to be involved in the planning process from beginning to end.
What happens if you’re sick or otherwise unable to be there on the day of our wedding?
Maui’s Angels has additional coordinators ready to take over! It is highly unlikely that your planner would be unable to be there the day of the wedding, however, should that be the case rest assured, another coordinator would be able to handle everything seamlessly.
What if it rains?
Leave the worrying to us! We always have a rain plan, and will keep you apprised of any adjustments to your wedding that we deem necessary. It is extremely rare that over the course your wedding it would rain the entire time, but regardless we are very well versed in shifting the location and timing of events if necessary. We work with the best photographers on the island ensuring you still get the best images even in the event of less than ideal weather.
Do you carry liability insurance?
Of course! Maui’s Angels provides comprehensive liability insurance for all properties and is an extension of our service for each client.
How much communication will we have?
We will be in frequent contact throughout the planning process, how frequently just depends on the scale of your wedding but we don’t put a limit on our communications! We try to respond to all emails and phone calls as quickly as possible and encourage frequent contact with our brides. Due to the nature of our industry, we are out of the office on event days and give the bride and groom our undivided attention, limiting our response time for a 24-hour period. We do our best to respond to all emails and phone calls within 48 hours and encourage you to reach out any time and we’ll get back to you as quickly as possible!
